Fabrics
are of different kinds. While some fabrics feel soft some appear rough. The
texture of fabrics depends on the typical purpose they are manufactured for.
Irrespective of the texture of the fabric, some basic features are expected out
of them. One of the features that are expected out of a fabric to term the same
as a quality one is its sustainability.
Textile
sustainability depends on many factors. One main factor that is responsible for
the sustainability of fabrics is the source from which it is produced. This
source is basically those resources that are eco-friendly in nature. The other
factor which is to do with sustainability of a fabric is the fiber source
through which it is made. Some of the natural fibers which decide on the
sustainability of a fabric are Cellulose and Protien. Fibers that make fabric
sustainable can be divided in to two namely Manufactured Fibers, Upcycled
Fibers and Recycled Fibers.
There
are many sustainable fabric suppliers available in and around many places.
Ensure care is taken to choose a sustainable fabric supplier
who offers genuine fabrics that lasts for long periods of time. Identifying the
perfect fabric supplier is the key to obtaining sustainable fabrics.
Sustainable fabric are made of many natural products like Sorona, Bamboo,
Tencel, Modal, Viscose, Organic Cotton, Wool or Cashmere, recycled polyester
and Soy among the many other natural sources. Manufacturing fabric using such
natural products ensures no harm is done to nature due to the use of dyes and finishes
